Saudi Arabia: Fahd expo to be hosted in Madinah Al Munawarah

Madinah Gov. Prince Faisal bin Salman, who visited the King Fahd Exhibition in Riyadh, said here that the next venue of the show will be Madinah to enable people in that part of the Kingdom to get to know the services rendered by the late king. 

The prince was accompanied to the show by Prince Faisal bin Ahmed bin Salman, Prince Fahd bin Faisal bin Salman, and Prince Ahmed bin Faisal bin Salman.

Saudi Arabia: National panel honors Saudi law students

The National Committee of Lawyers has honored Dar Al-Hekma University’s law students during their first meeting at the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce last week.

Yassin Khayat, Chairman of the National Committee of Lawyers, praised the female students for their accomplishments in the Pre-Moot Middle East course that took place last month in Amman, Jordan.

He also appreciated their participation in the Annual Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna last week. 

Saudi Arabia: Oil output reaches 10.3m barrels per day

Saudi Arabia’s oil production reached 10.3 million barrels per day in March, Petroleum and Mineral Resources Minister Ali Al-Naimi has said. 

“Average daily output hit 10.3 million bpd in March,” Al-Naimi, cited by the Saudi Press Agency, said on Tuesday night.

The minister expects Saudi Arabia production to continue at around 10 million bpd and also expects crude prices to improve.

Saudi Arabia: Cultural festival opens for all nationalities in Jubail

The Royal Commission for Jubail opened a cultural festival, called “The Nations’ Festival”, at Al-Fanateer waterfront in Jubail on Thursday.

Khaled Al-Shammari, chairman of the festival organizing committee, said: “The Royal Commission is keen to hold this festival to express Jubail’s appreciation to all Arab and non-Arab residents.

“The five-day event aims to strengthen Jubail’s industrial position, attract more investments, and achieve the visions and goals of the industrial city.”

Al-Shammari said that the festival embodied Jubail’s spirit of communication and openness to all cultures, as well as promoting tourism and entertainment for Jubail’s residents and visitors.

Saudi Arabia: Tourism sector surges 2.14%

The Saudi stock market continued its positive movement, marking another reasonable gain of 0.56 percent. 

The benchmark Tadawul All-Share Index closed at 8,851.83, up 49.47 points on Wednesday. 

Large cap index outperformed with 0.93 percent positive change, the GulfBase said in its market commentary. 

The market leader Saudi Basic Industries Corp. (SABIC) outdid rest of its heavyweight peers, advancing 2.89 percent and closing at SR84.84. Almarai Co. also rose more than two percent, closing at SR87.48.
